It all started when…
Jedda studied as a commercial artist in 1992 and after an initial career in graphic design moved her focus to illustration. Her first book was published in 2011 ‘Rabbits Year’ Published by Black Dog Books.
Since then Jedda has created over 50 books. Her books are sold internationally and have been published in many languages including English, French, Dutch, Turkish, Greek, Italian, Korean and Chinese.
Although she enjoys writing her own stories, Jedda also collaborated with a number of Australian Authors, including Nicki Esler Gill, Josephine Moon, Mike and Linda Dumbleton, Katie Richie, ABC Play School & Jane Stradling, Kerry Brown, Melissa Keil, Libby Gleeson, Kate Welshman, and Tania Cox.
Jedda is published in Australia by Hardie Grant Children’s Publishing (& Little Hare Books imprint) , Penguin, Little Book Press, Windy Hollow Books, Hachette, Five Mile Press - Bonnier, Walker Books, Scholastic books, , Allen & Unwin and HarperCollins.
And internationally by Little Bee, Langue Au Chat, Pearson & Planeta Junior.
Jedda has also collaborated on a Children’s range with Maxwell and Williams, as well as greeting cards for the Nuovo Group.
Jedda teaches watercolour classes for children and adults at the ArchaicaSchola Studio, in Hobart, Tasmania.
